Come to Poetry Hours and Let's Write Together
You’re Invited to Come Write Poetry
If you’ve ever thought, I should write more poetry, Poetry Hours is for you.
It’s simple: we hop on Zoom, say hi, and then write together in companionable silence. No one’s grading, no one’s pressuring, no one has to share. It’s just one hour carved out for poetry—with friends in the (virtual) room.
Why come? Because sometimes it’s hard to do it alone. Sometimes the hardest part of writing is simply sitting down to do it. Life happens—emails pile up, notifications ding, errands beckon, kids need something, the day slips away. But when you carve out the time and actually put pen to paper or fingers to keys, something shifts. The noise fades, words begin to gather, and every so often a line appears that feels a little like magic.
That is what Poetry Hours is all about.
The rhythm is simple and relaxed:
10 minutes to say hello
40 minutes of quiet writing
10 minutes of chat at the end
When and Where?
Poetry Hours happens on Zoom at Fridays at noon (CST).

We’d love for you to join us. Bring your pen, your notebook, or your keyboard. Bring half-finished ideas or nothing at all. Just come ready to write.

Sigh. Missing again! One of these days, I'll be there.
Honestly sounds like a fantastic time.
