Welcome!
Welcome to the Rabbit Room Poetry Substack! Our goal is that this growing collection of poetry will provide you with hope, encouragement, insight, and perhaps even inspiration for your own creative work.
Paid Subscriptions
If you like what is happening on this Substack and want to contribute to creating more poetry here, consider upgrading to a paid subscription. In addition to supporting Rabbit Room operations, we will pass the funds from paid subscriptions back to poets as we commission new work to be shared on the Substack.
When those commissioned poems reach your inbox, you’ll know that you stepped into a time-honored role in the artistic process: that of a patron.
Without patronage, artists face greater challenges in creating their work and in bringing it to the public. These days, however, digital tools are making it easier than ever for individual fans of a creative discipline to step into that much-needed role in the creative process.
About the Rabbit Room
The Rabbit Room was conceived as an experiment in the creative community. After author/singer/songwriter Andrew Peterson’s first visit to the Oxford home of C. S. Lewis, he returned to Nashville with a renewed conviction that community nourishes good and lasting artistic work.
The Rabbit Room, the name of the back room of the pub where the Oxford Inklings (including Lewis, Tolkien, and Charles Williams, among others) shared their stories, began as an online store for books and music and a blog with contributors who are authors, songwriters, artists, and pastors.
Over the years, it has grown to include a publishing house, a podcast network, an annual arts conference called Hutchmoot, a theater program, a beautiful community and event space called North Wind Manor, and a vibrant community of artists and creators.
