Perhaps the best interview I have ever read! I absolutely love the narrative quality of it and the way it invites you into the place during the conversation by painting vivid images.
I once took a Spiritual Theology class in which we read several of Scott Cairns' poems. (My favorite is the one about potty-training a turtle.)

I second the notion of English's versatility for poetry and puns. Maybe not the best language for rhyming. But it is periphrastic enough to say accurately almost anything worth saying. And most of it will fit on your mug.
