This is achingly beautiful! At once familiar– being The Lord's Prayer– but also new and reflective. I think it would be wonderful set to music.

I’m sorry if this is weird, but I recognize your name. Are you or were you at one point part of The Habit, Jonathan Rogers’ writing community?

Caelie, hello! Yes, I was (and am still) a member of The Habit, S.E. I hope you're doing well!

Okay, I’m glad my guess was correct otherwise that could have been awkward. It’s nice to see a name from there… I was part of it for a little over a year, but other things took priority. Likewise, I hope you’re doing well ☺️

Haha, understood! I'm glad you took the leap of faith and said something. :) We've had a lot of new members join the S.E. in the past couple of months, but you are missed by all the oldies. I thought you might like to know that we have continued your end-of-year reflection thread, and it has become a lovely annual tradition.

I’m so glad there are so many new members! I really miss you guys, too. I still pray for y’all.

I forgot about that thread! That’s so special to me to hear that you have kept it up, though!! Thank you :)

That's so sweet of you, Caelie! I'll be sure to let the forum know we ran into each other (for lack of a more virtual way to say it :) I know everyone will be thrilled to hear you're doing well and still connected to The Rabbit Room!

Wonderful. When he was in a Russian WWII/Cold War era prison, Fr. Walter Ciszek would spend hours praying the Our Father, exploring its depths, and he noted how it was an endless starting point for prayer. I love this act of using the Lord's Prayer as a "home base" from which we begin, and to which we return, as we express to God our need.
